Pinnacle Presbyterian Church has long been a place where hearts gather and spirits are renewed. For years, its Women's Fellowship have faithfully hosted overnight retreats and day-long gatherings that create space for reflection, laughter, and deep connection. These cherished moments have offered countless women the opportunity to step away from daily routines and rediscover joy, purpose, and faith together.

In 2026, a new chapter unfolded as the Men@Pinnacle experienced their very first two-night retreat at Kohl's Ranch Lodge outside of Payson, Arizona. Twenty-three men carpooled together, leaving behind busy schedules and responsibilities to seek rest among the tall pines. The journey itself became a time of anticipation, conversation, and growing camaraderie.

Once there, Pastors Erik and Mike guided the group with warmth and encouragement, while Jed Schenck led songs that filled the living room with praise. Voices rose together, not in perfection, but in sincerity, creating a powerful sense of unity. Through shared meals, meaningful conversations, warm hikes, and quiet moments of reflection, the men discovered a deeper spiritual bond.

For many, stepping away from their wives and families felt unfamiliar, even challenging. Yet in choosing to go, they embraced growth and openness. They supported one another, shared stories, and strengthened their shared love of Jesus.

By the end of the retreat, hearts felt lighter, spirits lifted, and friendships deepened. The time away did more than provide rest; it sparked renewal and lasting encouragement. Returning home, each man carried with him a sense of peace, purpose, and gratitude, ready to share that renewed energy with those they love. In this way, the retreat became not just a getaway, but a meaningful step in faith and community.

The example set by the women’s retreats over the years helped inspire this moment, reminding everyone that stepping aside from routine can open hearts in unexpected ways. The church continues to grow as a place of welcome, renewal, and shared faith, where each retreat, whether for women or men, becomes a joyful reminder of God’s abiding presence and love.
