Julie Bansberg
Owl Teacher
My name is Julie Bansberg, and I moved from my native Southern California to Scottsdale 31 years ago. After graduating from the University of California, San Diego, I was involved in business development for Allergan Pharmaceuticals for 10 years. I then decided to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a pilot. I received my FAA flight instructor certification. What I loved most about flight instruction was teaching. As a result, in 2006, I got my teaching certificate and changed my focus to early childhood development and education.
My son was born in 2003 and is an alumnus of Pinnacle Presbyterian Preschool. I began to substitute teach at PPP in 2006 and became full-time staff in 2010. I just love my job, especially watching the children grow, develop, and build their self-confidence. It is so important to create an environment in the classroom for the love of learning, which will carry throughout their educational years. In 2017, I took a short break from PPP so that I could drive my son to 5:00 am morning swim practice. He graduated in 2025 with honors as a scholar athlete in swimming at The Ohio State University. I’ve been married for 31 years. My favorite activities are spending time with my family, reading, and traveling.
