Living with Intention

A 12-Week Monastic Cohort

What if our ordinary days were shaped with the wisdom and rhythm of a monastery?

For centuries, people of faith have looked to the rule of life - a prayerful structure of daily practices - as a way to live with balance, depth, and intention. Starting this March, join Pastor Erik for a 12-week journey inspired by the wisdom of St. Benedict.

Together, our small cohort will:

  • Meet regularly (weekly) for conversation, prayer, and guidance.

  • Explore spiritual practices that bring stability and depth to everyday living.

  • Commit to daily rhythms that help us grow closer to God.

  • Share a monastic retreat as the capstone to our journey.

This is not a drop-in class but a committed community, walking alongside one another with honesty and care. Participants will be asked to attend regularly (in person; but Zoom when out of town), engage with practices between sessions, and commit to the closing retreat (dates to be determined in coordination after the cohort is formed).

Pastor Erik will hold an informational session after each of the Introduction to Monastic Living sessions on Sundays, February 1, 8, and 15 at 11:15 am in Fellowship Hall Room 2. Attending at least one session of the introduction class and an informational session is required to be considered for the cohort.
