The Joy of Ministry

Serving as the Director of Adult Programming at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church has become one of the greatest joys of my professional and spiritual life. Each day I am reminded that our programs are far more than calendar events; they are pathways for connection, growth, and renewed faith. Watching ideas move from paper to full fruition is a privilege that never loses its wonder.

One of the most meaningful experiences this year was the Navajo Nation Cultural Heritage Trip. Months of planning, listening, and coordinating went into shaping a pilgrimage that was both educational and spiritually transformative. When I saw the group immersed in the stories, traditions, and sacred landscapes of the Navajo people, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Their experience made every detail, every late night, and every challenge worth it.

This same spirit of renewal has been alive in our new programs as well. Faith on Tap, Club Sandwich, and Pinnacle Singles each launched with energy, curiosity, and a hunger for community. Seeing new faces walk into these spaces, open to learning, sharing, and simply being present, fills me with hope.

What strikes me most deeply is the renewed spirit that seems to awaken within our community each time we gather. Whether it’s a thought-provoking class, a casual conversation over coffee during hospitality, or a shared moment of prayer in our weekly prayer group, I see people reconnecting with their faith and with one another.

As I look ahead, my heart is full. To serve a church I love so deeply and to witness its members finding joy, purpose, and belonging is a gift I never take for granted. I am honored to be part of this journey, and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for our adult programming and our church family as we are in the midst of planning spring programming for 2026.

Every program we nurture becomes a doorway into deeper faith, authentic friendships, and meaningful discovery. I am continually inspired by the courage people show when they step into something new, trusting that they will be welcomed and supported. It is this spirit of openness and grace that makes our ministry thrive every single day.

And as usual, if you’re looking for a meaningful connection at Pinnacle, simply give me a buzz.  I welcome the opportunity to plug you into the many facets of our program.
