Shadow Day workshops provide a unique opportunity for educators to observe teaching and learning in a Reggio Emilia inspired classroom.  Beyond the research and pedagogy - what does a Reggio Emilia classroom really look like?  How is the environment different?  What strategies are the teachers using to engage children.  What does emergent curriculum look like in practice?  How are these teaching practices different from thematic or commercial curriculum?  Why is documentation critical to the practice?   How do teachers access children's progress and learning?

We've always known that real learning occurs with hands-on, highly engaging activities.  We know from own experience that the best learning happens in a joyful pursuit of knowledge.  Child centered, child driven, teacher guided learning.

Join us by shadowing the morning classrooms and then participate in an afternoon presentation related to a specific topic.
