Christian Education

Children’s Education  Coordinated by Debbie Lisk

Kids Can... (Grades 1–5) 5–5:30 p.m., Fellowship Hall Room 3

PPC kids will “be the hands and feet of Jesus,” to care for, support, and hold up others through service. We will be involved in mission work throughout the year, whether serving the homebound members of our church, sharing with members of our local community or reaching out to others across the globe.

Wee Ones (4–year–olds and Kindergartners)
6–6:30 p.m., Fellowship Hall Room 4

Wee Ones invites children to learn about a story from the Bible each week. Through big books, children’s Bibles, Beginner’s Bible videos, and Veggie Tales, children will hear a different story each week, and see it come to life through videos. Wee Ones is offered to children in kindergarten or who are 4 years old by Sept. 1, 2011.

Bible Adventurers (Grade 1 –2)
6:45–7:15 p.m., Fellowship Hall Kitchen

First and second graders will take an adventure through the Bible, revisiting familiar stories and learning new ones. We will gather to hear the adventures of people and events from the Bible, and participate in related games, crafts, and activities.

Run With the Horses
Taught by Shelly Core
6–7 p.m., Fellowship Hall Room 2
Begins Sept. 14 and runs for 12 weeks

How do we learn to risk, to trust, to pursue wholeness and excellence – to run with the horses – in the midst of life today? In a series of reflections on the life of Jeremiah the prophet, Eugene Peterson explores the heart of what it means to be fully and genuinely human. His writing is filled with humor and self–revelation, insight and wisdom, helping to set a course for others in the quest for life at its best. Contact Shelly Core for sign up and book purchase information.
