REGISTRATION CLOSED - TRIP FULL
Explore some of the history of Protestant theological education in the United States and the creative role congregations and visionary believers are playing in its transformation—forming believers in new ways for lay and professional ministry in the 21st century.  Apply this to Pinnacle’s mission in the Southwest and our developing vision for our Fran Park Center for Faith and Life.  And as an added bonus, enjoy Pinnacle’s Chancel Choir in performance at Carnegie Hall!

Our Developing Itinerary includes...

THURSDAY:  Gathering together, flying out, and landing in Newark, NJ. Evening and night in Princeton, New Jersey, with lodging in Princeton Seminary housing.

FRIDAY:  Princeton Theological Seminary. Enjoy a day with our partners and friends at the flagship seminary of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)—tour the campus, worship with and learning from students, learn the history of Presbyterian theological education and changes underway, explore the seminary’s new “farminary” (using agriculture to teach theology and creation-care), and engage in an open discussion of the Park Center’s new partnership with this historic seminary.

SATURDAY:  A day in New York City exploring places of interest, visiting churches, enjoying a Broadway show. Details to come!

SUNDAY:  Worship in an historic NYC congregation, learn about the role of theological education in the city, eat well, and attend the Carnegie Hall concert featuring the Pinnacle Chancel Choir. Details to come!

MONDAY:  Harlem. Learn the vibrant scene of new churches now appearing in storefronts and around corners, with new ministries and new ideas. We will learn about City Seminary, a new seminary growing to meet the changing needs of this vibrant religious setting. We’ll wonder together about what this means for our own setting in Phoenix.

TUESDAY:  Summing up and flying home from Newark.
