Confirmation

The process of Confirmation begins when we are baptized in the church. For many of us this happens as a baby, before we are capable of decisionmaking for ourselves. If we are baptized as children, the congregation and our parent(s) agree to raise children in the church and teach them about the Christian faith.

Confirmation happens in the church when these baptismal vows are fulfilled by young adults affirming their faith in Jesus Christ for themselves. For some of the students, they may be both baptized and confirmed during the process of Confirmation. The Confirmation Class at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church is an opportunity for students in 8th grade to explore the following topics:

1. Discover what it means to be a Christian.
2. Discover what it is to be a member of the church.
3. Consider how our Christian faith can impact our daily life.
4. Learn what it means to be a Presbyterian.
5. Gain a better understanding of why the church is organized the way it is.
