God’s Generosity

When we think of God’s generosity in our lives we need to think about giving to God’s work a percentage of our household income, through the church.

In 2010, we will once again have the church’s mortgage payment in the Operating Budget.

As you will recall prior to 2009 the mortgage payment was not part of our Operating Budget, most of you will remember that for many years we have had building campaigns, capital campaigns and fund raisers to finance new church facilities. In addition these building campaign funds have been allocated to pay our mortgage payments.

A Time for Commitment

In 2009, we came together as one by taking a huge step to meet our increased budget needs. We had 75% of our total pledges in place on Commitment Sunday weekend. In just two more weeks, we had 90% of our total pledges in place allowing us to complete our 2009 Budget process early.

We urge you to “Stir one another up” and continue this great effort to help us accomplish 100% of our pledge goal on Commitment Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009.

Growing Our Commitment to Mission at Pinnacle!

In these difficult economic times, the need for increased resources in Mission and Pastoral Care has never been greater. To that end, your Session has dedicated a portion of the increase in 2010 giving to those needs. The planned increase will continue each year until Mission reaches 20% of our total Operating Budget.

Your increased pledge this year will directly help us meet our goal to reach our full potential for God’s work in this crucial area.

Commitment Sunday Is Nov. 8

From 8:30–10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, there will be a Church Breakfast on the Green. Come together as ONE community of faith to celebrate and make a commitment to our church community.

We ask that you and your family attend this celebration breakfast and bring your pledge commitment and time and talents card.
